November 24, 2010 – Several technologies for computer-assisted coding (CAC) for the healthcare industry will be demonstrated at the 2010 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

Technology demonstrations include the debut of the new Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision (ICD-10) coding capabilities of LifeCode, A-Life’s patented Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. A-Life will also demonstrate side-by-side comparison views and analysis of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes within the code grid of the Actus application, A-Life’s computerized medical coding and workflow management application.

New ICD-10 capabilities from A-Life will be available to clients beginning in 2011, ensuring clients have ample time to train coding staff and allowing them to gain experience using the new tools in advance of the 2013 ICD-10 changeover deadline.

A-Life is now part of Ingenix.
