April 14, 2008 – VirtuRad is now a reseller and integrator of Carestream Health’s digital medical imaging and healthcare IT systems in the U.S., looking to offer more benefits of Carestream Health's product portfolio to a wider variety of healthcare providers.

Carestream Health’s portfolio includes: Kodak DirectView computed radiography and digital radiography systems; Kodak Point-of-Care CR systems—mobile X-ray units; Carestream PACS for the management, viewing, sharing and storage of radiology imaging studies along with Carestream RIS for management of patient information; information management solutions that provide onsite or hosted storage solutions; and laser imaging systems for printing digital medical images onto radiographic film.

Phoenix, Arizona-based VirtuRad provides electronic imaging and Internet-based radiological capabilities. The VirtuRad solution is designed to enable all types of facilities to cost effectively acquire, process, transmit and archive electronic diagnostic images for subsequent retrieval, primary and consultative interpretation and reporting.
