February 12, 2008 – QUBYX adapted its PerfectLUM display calibration solutions with the Matrox Digital Luminance Correction technology (DLC), offering users a complete display calibration package, aiming to ensure that DICOM measurements and the DLC adjustments reflect DICOM accuracy across the entire display viewing area.
Matrox’s DLC technology allows hospitals to deploy displays and adjust for possible inconsistencies in luminance levels. Hospital staff will be able to perform the DLC calibration as needed, and the entire calibration process takes about 90 seconds. Medical display vendors can reportedly eliminate the process of matching luminance on each pair of displays shipped, and calibration application vendors will be able to offer their customers a complete display calibration solution, including luminance correction and gamma correction functions.
