Breast Biopsy Guidance System Added to Selenia Dimensions Mammography

May 26, 2011 - Hologic's suite of women's health solutions has expanded to include the Affirm breast biopsy guidance system that seamlessly integrates with any Selenia Dimensions digital mammography system.

This system brings a new level of comfort and efficiency to upright breast biopsy procedures. The Affirm system is a cost-effective, space-saving and ergonomic solution that will allow professionals to expand the range of service offerings to include minimally invasive breast biopsy. Workflow innovations, like an integrated user interface in the Selenia Dimensions acquisition workstation, automated image acquisition and sophisticated yet easy-to-use targeting software help make a procedure smooth. Its 10-degree angled upright biopsy approach offers unobstructed views of lesions.
