November 23, 2016 — Healthcare imaging specialist Barco will showcase numerous diagnostic display systems designed to drive productivity and cost containment in radiology at the 2016 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA 2016), Nov. 27-Dec. 1 in Chicago. Product highlights will include Barco’s flagship Coronis Uniti and Coronis Fusion 6MP display systems

Barco’s flagship Coronis Uniti is noted for its versatility as a powerful multi-modality breast image reading solution. However, its advanced image-enhancing features — such as the large 12MP screen, finely tuned color and DICOM grayscale calibration, and stress-reducing ergonomic design — make it ideal for general radiology applications.

Coronis Uniti empowers radiologists with the ability to view picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and breast images – including 2-D, 3-D, static and dynamic images – on the same screen. Complete studies can be conducted without the need for multiple monitor setups to promote a more efficient workflow, while reducing cost and support efforts. Intuitive Workflow productivity tools also help boost diagnostic accuracy while reducing occupational stress, such as eye and neck strain.

The Coronis Fusion 6MP display system  offers value-added features that boost brightness to the highest levels to enhance precise image quality, while increasing productivity for a more efficient workflow. Proprietary intuitive workflow features coupled with the ultra-widescreen display allow radiologists to read many types of studies, honing in with tools like SpotView to quickly detect anomalies for a faster diagnosis.

MediCal QAWeb is the only web-based, interruption-free quality assurance (QA) and auto-calibration system for medical displays, according to Barco. With more than 100,000 displays managed by MediCal QAWeb across the globe, facilities can benefit from its data analytics and enterprise management power to monitor lifespan, performance and uptime of their displays. This allows them to more accurately plan purchases and improve asset allocation, saving costs and boosting operational efficiency across their entire display network.
