B. Braun Shows Drug Patient Safety Technology at HIMSS 2008

February 5, 2008 - At HIMSS 2008, B. Braun Medical Inc. will exhibit its portfolio of hospital drug patient safety solutions for IV infusion pumps and central pharmacies.

The company will demonstrate its DoseTrac Infusion Management Software, which offers a real-time monitor for trends, reports and managing the IV administrative process. Clinicians cal also learn more about the Outlook Safety Infusion System, recently named “Best in KLAS” for smart pump technology in KLAS’s 2007 Year End Report. It uses bar-code technology to help ensure the right patient gets the right dose of medication every time. B. Braun will also show its Curlin PainSmart IOD Pain Management System, which includes built-in safety features such as programmable medication limits and integral free-flow protection.

Visitors can also find out more about the company’s Central Admixture Pharmacy Services (CAPS) and how its solutions can help handle demanding workloads and meet USP Chapter 797 standards.
