Nov. 18, 2025 — Siemens Healthineers positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceutical companies PETNET Solutions Inc. and Advanced Accelerated Applications (AdAcAp) Molecular Imaging have been rebranded as Siemens Healthineers, effective immediately.

The Siemens Healthineers brand will now include PETNET Solutions and AdAcAp Molecular Imaging as its Radiopharma business segment. The transition will be completed over the next 12 months. Siemens Healthineers is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of radiopharmaceuticals for PET scans, including agents used to evaluate patients for theranostics, an innovative form of cancer treatment. It operates 60 facilities in nine countries that manufacture more than 100,000 batches of sterile PET radiopharmaceuticals a year.

The name change comes 11 months after Siemens Healthineers increased its European footprint by acquiring AdAcAp Molecular Imaging from Novartis in December 2024. That acquisition added AdAcAp Molecular Imaging’s 13 PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing sites in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Germany to PETNET’s network of 47 cyclotron-powered PET radiopharmacies, which are located primarily in the U.S.

“Siemens Healthineers companies PETNET Solutions and Advanced Accelerator Applications have served as cornerstones of our radiopharma business,” said Barry Scott, head of the Radiopharma business at Siemens Healthineers. “Given current market dynamics and the momentum in the radiopharmaceutical industry, the time is right to unify under the brand Siemens Healthineers. This strategic move unites our people, products, and purpose to deliver even greater value to customers and patients as well as accelerate innovation.”

PETNET Solutions and AdAcAp Molecular Imaging develop, manufacture, and supply PET radiopharmaceuticals such as FDG across the U.S. and Europe, as well as Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) products such as the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted PET agent POSLUMA from Blue Earth Diagnostics, a Bracco company. PETNET Solutions also manufactures diagnostic agents used to evaluate patients for Alzheimer’s disease, oncology, and cardiac imaging.
