At the surface, the term “advanced visualization†seems nebulous at best. Medical imaging technology continues to develop and advance at a rapid rate, so determining what qualifies as advanced remains a moving target as well. In general, however, the current cutting edge of imaging centers around 3-D/4-D viewing and mobile technology, with different specialties implementing them in unique ways.

The new Rollux D analog/digital motorized viewer provides an ergonomic system for interpreting digital images simultaneously with analog films.
This transitional tool combines both formats in a single plane to enhance workflow. The Rollux D accommodates any digital LCD monitor with up to 200 cases of prior film comparisons directly above.

March 5, 2008 - Broadwest is showcasing all three models of Mammomask, including the MM4, MM8 and MM12, redesigned to yield uniform viewing surfaces and a high luminance, at NCBC 2008.
The units reportedly measure within a 5 to 10 percent variation (DIN6856 standard) to provide homogeneous viewing conditions for each film whether it is read in the center or at the periphery.
