October 1, 2014 – Backus Hospital, Hartford Hospital, The Hospital of Central Connecticut, MidState Medical Center, and Windham Hospital now gather and analyze dose data from all necessary modalities within their imaging departments to ensure an effective dose management program for their patients through the use of Sectra DoseTrack.

"Sectra DoseTrack was an optimal choice for Hartford HealthCare. The software is highly configurable and provides dose reports at both the hospital and enterprise level. This will enable us to benchmark best practices between our hospitals and further our position in providing safe and leading patient care," says Gary Dee, M.D., chairman of radiology.

Sectra DoseTrack accepts data from multiple sources, including all modalities capable of recording and sending dose information, the EMR, the RIS, and the PACS. Robust analysis capabilities for dose optimization and consideration of patient size and demographics allow for effective organ dose calculations and patient risk assessment. AuntMinnie named Sectra DoseTrack "Best New Radiology Software of 2013."

"Sectra's long-term commitment and investment in radiation dose monitoring technology is an integral part of our corporate strategy of improving the quality of patient care. Hartford HealthCare represents a large healthcare provider who is taking a proactive approach to ensure top-notch patient care delivery," said Mikael Anden, president of Sectra, North America.
