The annual Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2021 meeting is the largest health information technology (IT) conference in the world, and prior to COVID attracted well in excess of 30,000 attendees and more than 1,400 companies. With the rapid growth of health IT in the past decade, this conference has become pivotal for everything from electronic medical record (EMR) systems, radiology PACS, cardiology information systems (CVIS), wearable patient monitors, out-patient chronic disease management technologies (i.e. heart failure and hypertension), artificial intelligence IT to speed workflows or aid diagnosis of various conditions, remote clinical image and report viewer solutions, and a vast array of IT integration solutions from ECG to radiation oncology solutions.
