Three research articles from the Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute have been honored by leading radiology journals.


Dec. 17, 2025 — The Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute recently announced that three of its research articles have been recognized with prestigious awards from leading radiology journals for their impact on policy, education and practice management.

"Recognition from leading journals like JACR and AJR reinforces the importance of our mission to advance evidence-based decision-making in radiology," added Elizabeth Rula, PhD, Executive Director of the Neiman Institute.

JACR “Best of 2025” – Health Services Research and Policy — honors research that advances understanding of imaging utilization and workforce trends. To be featured in Jan. 2026 issue of JACR.

JACR “Best of 2025” – Training and Education — highlights research that informs radiology education and workforce planning. To be featured in Jan. 2026 issue of JACR.

AJR “Best of 2025” – Policy, Quality, and Practice Management — selected by the ARRS Science and Innovations Committee, underscores the Institute’s leadership in shaping evidence-based policy and practice standards.

"These awards reflect the exceptional rigor and relevance of the Neiman Institute’s research. By addressing critical issues in imaging policy, education, and practice, we are driving meaningful improvements in patient care and health system performance," said Dana Smetherman, Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Radiology.
