Image Quality and Dose Reduction

FCT iStream includes four proprietary technologies. Combining these technologies with AI-enhanced image capture and processing tackles the challenges of increased patient volumes, comfort and dose concerns.

The technologies are:

  • HiMAR Plus – advanced metal artifact reduction

  • Intelli IPV – iterative reconstruction processing reduces noise for enhanced sharpness at lower dose

  • SynergyDrive – AI automation for workflow efficiency

  • IntelliODM – minimizes dose for patient safety

HiMAR Plus maintains diagnostic visibility of areas surrounding metal objects using iterative processing to progressively reduce noise and artifacts. HiMAR Plus sensitivity is adjustable to adapt to the application and site preferences.

Intelli IPV is Fujifilm’s iterative reconstruction processing technique using a proprietary vision model algorithm to enhance image sharpness, reduce noise, and enable lower patient dose.

SynergyDrive technology automates, simplifies and accelerates the scanning process. The system captures up to 60 images per second, while SynergyDrive helps streamline the entire scanning process, assisting with positioning of the patient, mapping imaging parameters on where to scan, and scanning and storing of images.

IntelliODM organ dose modulation minimizes radiation dose to the orbits while maintaining image quality. Fujifilm’s IntelliEC feature helps further reduce patient dose for all CT scanning, including cardiac imaging, based on patient attenuation.
