New solutions in combined Windows and Mac/Linux-based portfolios deliver more productivity and cost-savings for medical imaging customers

November 1, 2022 —  Reseller partners IMAGE Information Systems (iQ IMAGE), headquartered in Rostock, Germany, and aycan Medical Systems, headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., join for the second time at RSNA this year to demonstrate the latest innovations in their complementary portfolios of advanced imaging solutions that support any platform.

Key productivity and security enhancing innovations on display from the two companies include 50% faster image loading times from iQ-4VIEW 2.2.8zero-footprint viewer; a low-cost proxy server in iQ-SYSTEM PACS that separates external from internal traffic to increase data security; a new Oracle Cloud version of aycan store; and a new version of aycan universal thin client viewer (also available in the Cloud) with expanded features and functionality.

"The innovations from both our companies help us to further expand our growing businesses," said Dr. Arpad Bischof, Director IMAGE Information Systems Europe. Mike Jensen, Director of IMAGE Information Systems’ North American operations, added, "Since expanding our relationship with aycan last year, we’ve been able to deliver a new level of capability and value to our global customers, and these latest innovations will help us continue that."

In addition to their complete portfolios, other innovations on display from iQ IMAGE and aycan at RSNA will be HL7 message support from iQ-WEB RIS, which integrates into any hospital or teleradiology workflow; 64-bit availability in the iQ-3D diagnostic viewer for low-cost processing of cone-beam CT scans for human and veterinary; and aycan consent iPad app for quick and easy processing of patient consent forms.

"All of these new products and capabilities provide our customers with an even broader set of solutions that improve quality and productivity while lowering costs," said Frank Burkhardt, aycan Director, North & Latin American Operations. "iQ IMAGE’s Windows-based portfolio is a perfect complement to our Mac and Linux-based portfolio, which enables both our companies to offer customers solutions for a complete workflow."

In 2021, iQ IMAGE and aycan expanded their long-standing reseller relationship to include offering each other’s entire portfolios and conducting joint product development. This year at RSNA, they’re booth displaying their portfolios will be in South Hall, Level 3, #2908.
