At AHRA 2021 – the Annual Meeting of The Association for Medical Imaging Management, the TIMS Medical division of Foresight Imaging announced the release of TIMS Connect, a major enhancement to the TIMS Medical Video Platform, a collection of state-of-the-art hardware and software products that allow medical professionals to record, edit and archive medical images and video, as well as share and collaborate with fellow practitioners.

August 2, 2021 — At AHRA 2021 – the Annual Meeting of The Association for Medical Imaging Management, the TIMS Medical division of Foresight Imaging announced the release of TIMS Connect, a major enhancement to the TIMS Medical Video Platform, a collection of state-of-the-art hardware and software products that allow medical professionals to record, edit and archive medical images and video, as well as share and collaborate with fellow practitioners.

News of TIMS Connect follows the company’s introduction in November 2020 of TIMS MVP 4.0, the 4th generation product for high resolution recording, review, analysis, editing, labeling, graphic annotation, and archiving of medical imaging studies with synchronized audio.

TIMS Medical systems are widely used for imaging and diagnostics in radiology, speech-language pathology, and ENT for Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and (FEES) (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) studies. Further, TIMS Medical systems are frequently used to support imaging for general endoscopy, interventional radiology, ultrasound and surgery and the required DICOM/PACS/VNA connectivity.

TIMS Connect is a software add-on to any TIMS MVP system that provides instant real-time collaboration from within the procedure room. Colleagues can join from any hospital computer to participate as a study is performed, and optionally control the in-room TIMS MVP system to record, edit and review the study. Built-in webcam support adds a movable window with two-way audio & video for face-to-face communication, or to provide a remote view of the procedure room.

TIMS Connect creates a remote collaboration experience that removes the feeling of being remote!  Features include:

·     Software add-on for any TIMS MVP system

·     Real-time video transmission from any modality (fluoroscopes, endoscopes, ultrasound, etc.)

·     Two-way live webcam video and audio

·     Utilizes existing hospital networks

·     Remote user support with VPN

·     Secure and encrypted

“As its name suggests, TIMS Connect facilitates unprecedented connectivity and collaborative capabilities amongst medical professionals. Through its use, clinicians can quickly and easily consult with experts within the hospital system, as well as supervise procedures remotely from any office via a secure and HIPAA compliant network,” said Tony Molinari, VP Sales and Marketing. “TIMS Connect also delivers educational benefits by providing students or staff valuable live training without overcrowding procedure rooms.”
