Named one of 40 fastest growing tech companies

Kubtec has made the Marcum Tech Top 40 (TT40) list of fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut

November 6, 2019 — The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP announced Kubtec has made the Marcum Tech Top 40 (TT40) list of fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut.

Kubtec develops and manufactures innovative tools in digital X-ray equipment for specimen radiography, scientific research, forensic analysis, non-destructive testing, irradiation, and more. “Kubtec is honored to be named one of the Tech Top 40 Finalists, it really confirms we are on the right track and making great stride in helping breast cancer surgeons perform more precise surgeries”, said Kubtec founder and Chief Executive Officer Vikram Butani.

Kubtec’s Mozart system, the first portable intra-operative breast specimen tomosynthesis system, allows surgeons to take clear 3-D images of tumor specimens in the operating room within seconds. It also enables visualization even through obstructions like dense tissue or skin while surgeons are performing lumpectomy procedures. While a lumpectomy has been demonstrated to be as effective as a mastectomy, with lower risk of infection and better cosmetic outcome, 20 percent of these patients will need a second surgery. The Mozart system has been clinically demonstrated to reduce re-excision rates by 50 percent.

“The Mozart has changed the way breast surgeons are performing their surgery in the operating room, and we are thrilled to part of this shift in practice", added Butani.
