Azure-based PACS enhances imaging capabilities across five locations within budget and needs

Surgical Institute of Reading Chooses RamSoft's PowerServer Lite PACS

October 18, 2019 — Surgical Institute of Reading recently selected RamSoft’s PowerServer Lite PACS (picture archiving and communication system) on Azure to enhance their imaging capabilities with robust tools and cloud storage that would fit their needs and budget.

The Surgical Institute of Reading is a physician-owned hospital, with an ambulatory surgery center and three physical therapy locations. With five state-of-the-art locations in and around Reading and Wyomissing, Pa., they serve the surrounding community by offering a full range of services by a medical staff that is highly trained in their fields of expertise and state-of-the-art equipment. In addition to surgical services, their facilities also offer in-house radiology, anesthesia, physical therapy and other services to assist with the patient’s recovery.

The institute sought to implement a robust PACS with advanced imaging tools on the cloud that would enhance the productivity of its physicians at an affordable price. “Our previous diagnostic imaging solution had many shortcomings; which, at times, affected our capability of doing the best we can for our patients,” remembered Jim Bennett Surgical Institute of Reading CEO. “We followed the recommendation of our teleradiology partner and were pleased to find that RamSoft PowerServer Lite PACS is not only robust but also customizable to our very needs without breaking the bank”.

PowerServer Lite PACS is a fully functional PACS that enhances productivity and accelerates turnaround times. With a web-based and single database platform, it enables budget-conscious organizations to achieve optimal performance by offering unlimited users, workflow consolidating tools, built-in rapid DICOM routing, and support to DICOM, HL7 and IHE standards, and is customizable for the needs of each practice at an affordable price.
