Company will host presentations on managing medical display quality assurance, optimizing tumor board workflow

Barco Highlights Imaging Workflow Compliance at HIMSS18

February 21, 2018 — Barco will showcase its full line of radiology and mammography display systems with online quality assurance (QA) software at the 2018 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, March 5-9 in Las Vegas. The company will focus on how its solutions can help boost diagnostic accuracy, streamline operations and reduce costs.

Barco’s mammography and radiology display systems visualize the subtlest details, helping radiologists improve detection at the earliest stages of disease, according to the company. Intuitive workflow tools help enhance reading speed and accuracy, while the MediCal QAWeb online service conveniently automates QA and compliance.

The Coronis Uniti is the only multimodality breast imaging display that also allows viewing of picture archiving and communication system (PACS) images, according to Barco. Radiologists can view grayscale and precisely calibrated color, and clearly see subtle details to improve clinical decision-making. Complete studies can be conducted without multiple monitor set-ups, boosting workflow efficiency and reducing cost.

The Nio Color 3MP brings hospital-quality imaging to radiologists’ home office desktops. It offers high image quality, helping clinicians discern even the tiniest details, thanks to high brightness (500 cd/m2) and contrast ratio.

In addition to its product offerings, Barco will host a special presentation titled “Managing Compliance of your Healthcare Enterprise,” presented by Brian Fabrizio, channel manager for Barco Healthcare. This session, presented in the HP booth, will explore how to comply with changing regulatory requirements as the number and types of reading environments continue to grow. Attendees will also learn how to manage quality of all displays via an automated, online solution.

Attendees can also learn how to optimize workflow for multidisciplinary tumor board meetings with Barco’s vendor-neutral Care Consult solution. It simplifies tumor board preparation, facilitates remote participation and leverages existing investments in radiology, pathology and beyond for a seamless meeting experience. With greater flexibility, teams can review more patient cases and spend less time on administrative tasks.
