Carestream’s Vue Motion Universal Viewer Earns 2018 KLAS Category Leader Award

February 1, 2018 — Carestream Health earned top ratings from healthcare IT and radiology professionals for its Carestream Vue Motion universal viewer, according to KLAS, an independent research organization that monitors healthcare vendor performance. With a score of 89 out of 100, KLAS named Vue Motion as the Category Leader in the Universal Viewer segment of the 2018 Best in KLAS Software & Services Report. The report was published on January 30, 2018.

“Carestream’s Vue Motion is very intuitive and easy to use,” one user told KLAS. Another user reported that “The viewer is a light application. We just click the link, and the system pulls up the image, and we are in the patient’s chart.”

Users also reported success using Vue Motion’s volume matching capabilities. “If we were to scan a lumbar spine and the axial images were a little off compared to the lumbar spine images we took a few years ago, the system would do its best to match the images so they scroll together. That really facilitates a good comparison. It’s a feature we use all the time,” one user said.

The 2018 Best in KLAS awards are based on user scores compiled from the feedback of thousands of healthcare providers at clinics, hospitals and local, regional and national healthcare systems.

Vue Motion is a part of the Carestream Clinical Collaboration Platform. It image-enables an EMR by displaying DICOM and non-DICOM data side-by-side for a holistic view of the patient record. Vue Motion is FDA-cleared for clinical reading on mobile devices.

KLAS’ reports represent the combined opinions of people from provider organizations comparing how vendors, products and/or services performed when measured against the participant’s objectives and expectations.
