Platform’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure will allow cardiologists to access large echo data sets remotely in real time

Medical Metrics Taps Digisonics Cardiovascular Information Systems for Clinical Trials

October 3, 2017 – Medical Metrics, an experienced core laboratory for multi-center clinical trials, has implemented the Digisonics Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) for cardiology research. Digisonics provides cardiologists with remote functionality via Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Digisonics’ latest platform validated for secured access to cardiology images. The DigiView system leverages high-quality image analysis and quantitation capabilities, empowering Medical Metrics to provide their clients with high-quality image analytics.

Jesse Bowden, chief operations officer at Medical Metrics, commented, “The VDI integration within the DigiView platform is a substantial advantage over conventional remote viewing systems. It permits real-time display of large echo data sets from a remote location, with no obvious lag time or reduction in image resolution. Readers are able to load, display and interact with large imaging exams in real time as if they were sitting at the local workstation. This paradigm shift in remote viewing allows physicians to conduct high-quality reviews on compliant systems with no degradation in image quality or read times. As an early adopter of the new VDI technology, we are delighted to be part of the innovation taking place at Digisonics.”
