February 15, 2017 — Dicom Systems announced its participation in the HIMSS17 Interoperability Showcase. The redesigned HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Interoperability Showcase is a 34,000-sq-ft HIMSS experience that displays, in real time, the exchange and use of data through interoperability profiles and standards with live products currently in the marketplace. As part of public health reporting demonstration, Dicom Systems, along with partner collaborators, will highlight the value of standard-based interoperability.

At the end of January, Dicom Systems attended IHE Connectathon in Cleveland, where the team spent several days working with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Cerner, Epic, GE and other vendors, preparing for the event.

In their own HIMSS booth, Dicom Systems will be showcasing its core products:

  • Enterprise Imaging Workflow Unifier:  Integration engine that enables communications between various health information technology (IT) platforms;
  • Unifier Archive, a natively vendor-neutral archive: Unifier VNA helps end-users to consolidate disparate imaging systems into one repository, while providing enterprise-wide access to all medical images and medical records; and
  • Enterprise-Class DICOM Modality Worklist: Leveraging DICOMweb and FHIR, the Workflow Unifier allows the inclusion of visible light image capture devices in DMWL workflows, which have historically been off-limits for non-traditional imaging equipment.

HIMSS17 will take place in Orlando, Fla., from Feb. 19 – 23 at the Orange County Convention Center.
