Company will demonstrate role of enterprise imaging in reducing unnecessary costs and improving outcomes

Agfa HealthCare, Enterprise Imaging, SIIM 2016

June 3, 2016 — Agfa HealthCare's Enterprise Imaging platform will be on display at the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) 2016 annual meeting, which takes place June 29 - July 1 in Portland, Ore.

Agfa is joining with industry leaders at the meeting to demonstrate the significant value of enterprise imaging as hospitals and health systems continue to reduce unnecessary costs and improve outcomes. The company will be showcasing its single-platform, converged design, which empowers efficient collaborative practice across the continuum of care as underutilized medical images evolve into a strategic asset of the organization.

Agfa HealthCare's Enterprise Imaging’s modular design allows flexible adoption by healthcare systems. It offers a streamlined, value-based solution that aligns with their electronic health record (EHR) strategy. The solution enables multiple service lines — such as cardiology, radiology, surgery, gastroenterology and nursing — to manage and use image information within the same consolidated solution.

Via its open application program interfaces (APIs) and deep commitment to industry standards, Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging can overcome departmental silos by reducing cost, complexity and the need for multiple systems. As a result, hospitals and health systems can consolidate hardware, storage and software, while securely enhancing collaboration across the enterprise.
