Offers integrated enterprise PACS solution to enhance diagnostic workflow and efficiency

ScImage, Nexgen Healthcare, partnership expansion, PICOM365 Enterprise PACS, image-enabled EHR workflow

February 24, 2016 — ScImage announced it has entered into an agreement with NextGen Healthcare to integrate its PICOM365 Enterprise PACS into the NextGen Ambulatory EHR, allowing for seamless workflow during a clinical encounter. The combined solution opens a new chapter in healthcare information access by coupling enterprise picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) along with native electronic health record (EHR) information.

The expanded integration supports an image-enabled EHR, allowing physicians to complete the entire clinical viewing and reporting workflow without ever leaving the EHR. NextGen Healthcare offers a broad, multi-specialty portfolio of specialty-specific clinical content across more than 25 specialties which encompasses traditional cardiology and radiology PACS; the portfolio expands to additional sub-specialties such as obstetrics, orthopedics, mammography and dental.

ScImage’s flexible PICOM365 architecture can accommodate all imaging specialties, providing image review, reporting and delivery, all within a common framework. In addition, it can incorporate medical images and final reports from both DICOM and non-DICOM format, thereby creating a single centralized point for access to all procedures performed on a patient.
