November 19, 2015 — SST Group will unveil the next-generation DICOM image delivery system at the 2015 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference, Nov. 29-Dec. 3 in Chicago.

The DMC-EZ Hybrid e400 is a multi-function appliance designed to give healthcare facilities the ability to create hard copy CD, DVD and USB, as well as send images electronically to patients, referring physicians and other facilities from a single user interface. All activity is recorded in audit logs for HIPAA compliance. The system addresses many daily use cases which require immediate image distribution and at the same time provides a path to eliminate hard copy CDs in the future.

This addition of electronic image distribution to SST Group’s DMC-EZ CD/DVD burner product line provides healthcare facilities with a simple, fast and secure way to deliver DICOM images outside their own facilities, ensuring HIPAA/HITECH compliance. With the DMC-EZ Hybrid e400, sharing protected health information (PHI), including DICOM images, is as simple as sending an email. The receiver simply decrypts the package using a secure password and the electronic patient file containing the PHI opens on the user’s desktop.

The system’s intuitive, browser-based interface provides on-demand CD and electronic creation of DICOM studies and other PHI elements from anywhere on a network. Images, reports and electronic medical record (EMR) data are bundled with a comprehensive DICOM viewer on either hard copy media or sent electronically. The files designated for electronic distribution are encrypted and sent via secure connection. There is no enrollment required or per-study fee charged for a user to receive studies.
