October 1, 2015 — Carestream will feature several new systems at the 2015 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, covering digital radiography (DR), radiographic fluoroscopy (RF) and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems.
The DRX Plus detectors deliver enhanced image quality and speed, as well as other advanced features, while the DRX-Evolution Plus system offers major software and hardware enhancements to help expedite complex medical imaging exams and support future advanced imaging applications. The new DRX-Excel Plus systems for RF imaging can enhance workflow and perform contrast exams using fluoroscopy that can be associated with a radiography image, in addition to specialized contrast procedures.
The company is also conducting a clinical trial in the use of CBCT technology for capturing images of patient extremities including weight-bearing images of knees, legs and feet, which are of particular interest to orthopedic and sports medicine specialists. The CBCT system used in the clinical trial is investigational and not available for commercial sale.
