Replacement housing designed for digital and tomography applications

September 28, 2015 — The B-121 from Varian Medical Systems is an air-cooled mammography housing that fits a standard 3-inch X-ray tube insert. It is meant for digital and tomography applications. The housing has two shroud configurations — with and without quiet D/C fans. The B-121 offers 300 watts of continuous heat dissipation with fans, which is approximately 200 percent greater than standard mammography housings.
