June 30, 2015 - Carestream Health announced its planned offerings for the upcoming Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) conference, highlighted by new technologies and an educational presentation on increasing physician and patient satisfaction. The AHRA conference will be held July 19-22 in Las Vegas.

Todd Minnigh, vice president with Carestream Health, will give an educational presentation entitled "Leading By Listening: Helping Your Customers Be Successful" on Wednesday, July 22, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

"It's important for administrators to monitor feedback from referring physicians about each patient's imaging experience and the timeliness and quality of reporting. Healthcare, like any business, is about satisfying your direct clients and your clients' customers -I n this case, their patients," Minnigh said.

In the exhibit hall, Carestream representatives will showcase a model of the company's cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) system that is currently undergoing clinical studies. These patient studies will help guide Carestream's development of new CBCT systems with the goal of providing orthopedic imaging solutions that use less radiation than traditional CT; are compact and affordable; and can be used in a wide range of facilities.

The company also will display its Touch Ultrasound System, which recently received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance and is available for order in the United States. The advanced family of DRX systems will also be demonstrated; they provide fully featured room, mobile and retrofit systems that address the imaging needs of hospitals, imaging centers, orthopedic practices and other imaging services providers.

Carestream also offers a comprehensive portfolio of healthcare IT solutions including: picture archiving and communication systems (PACS); vendor-neutral archiving; an enterprise viewer that is FDA-cleared for clinical reading with popular mobile devices; and a Web-based patient portal. The company's flexible Clinical Collaboration Platform can complement a provider's existing departmental PACS or archive, and offers optional modules that can bring unstructured data into the clinical workflow and enhance the delivery of images and reports to clinicians and to patients.
