System enables interoperability for image sharing, advanced visualization

TeraRecon, iNteract+, HIMSS15, San Diego Imaging

April 20, 2015 — TeraRecon highlighted customer implementations of its iNteract+ viewing and interoperability capabilities at the HIMSS15 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference and exhibition, April 13-15 in Chicago.

Applications of the technology were displayed in a variety of viewing scenarios and across devices, including worklists, vendor neutral archives, enterprise content management and health information technologies. iNteract+ features clinical toolsets for the simplest to the most complex of use cases, including:

  • Image-enablement of the patient record and simple mobile device access
  • Image sharing featuring automated association of the imaging order and seamless picture archiving and communications system (PACS) integration
  • PACS Overlay or Deconstructed PACS Viewing scenarios for diagnostic interpretation
  • Advanced visualization for image-intensive specialty workflows

Rick Padelford, Executive Vice President at San Diego Imaging, said “We selected TeraRecon for our diagnostic reading viewer after a careful clinical evaluation that focused on ease of use and clinical functionality. The intelligent bandwidth optimization and ability to function seamlessly with our VNA in a real-time cache-less manner were key factors in our technical evaluation process.”
