Offers 8 MP, 32-inch color display designed for diagnostic review

NEC display, radiology

April 16, 2015 — NEC Display Solutions of America received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(K) market clearance of the MultiSync MD322C8 LCD, a high-resolution display for radiology review applications in healthcare organizations.

The 32-inch MD322C8 is an 8 megapixel, ultra high-definition review monitor features four times the resolution of full HD. The monitor is calibrated at the factory to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance.

“The MD322C8 display is a high resolution color clinical display that delivers stellar picture quality,” said Art Marshall, product manager for professional desktop and medical displays at NEC. “It gives medical imaging professionals a tool that enhances accuracy and productivity.”

Designed for calibrated, stable brightness, color accuracy and high pixel density, the MD322C8 display creates opportunities for radiology review and surgical suite applications.

It also includes an open pluggable specification (OPS)-compliant option slot, which is compatible with NEC-provided 3G/HD/SDI input cards for connection to live video streams, giving institutions flexibility in installations and future-proofing their investments.

The MultiSync MD322C8 display is available at a minimum advertised price of $6,399 and ships with a five-year limited parts and labor warranty, including advanced overnight exchange.
