Ian Weissman first to complete all four levels of RLI program

February 6, 2015 — Ian Weissman, DO, is the first Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) participant to complete all four levels of the RLI program and earn a Certificate of Leadership Mastery. Weissman completed the RLI program, including a practicum, in less than two years through a series of live meetings, webinars and online courses.

“Achieving the Certificate of Leadership Mastery has led to a cultural transformation in the way I now regard our profession because I am constantly thinking about better ways to provide exceptional healthcare,” said Ian Weissman, DO. “I would like to thank the RLI board and staff who have had the vision to produce this landmark program.”

The RLI offers a unique educational structure where participants “graduate” through progressive levels of leadership training by earning RLI Credits in important topic areas. Levels I-IV are instructional in nature and can be completed by satisfying the credit requirements for each level. Participants earn RLI certificates of achievement for completing each level.

Weissman is a staff radiologist for the Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he has a clinical appointment at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has received numerous research competition awards from the American College of Nuclear Physicians and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and was recognized with the Research Trainee Prize through the Radiological Society of North America. Weissman is currently involved with mentoring radiology residents using the skills and knowledge obtained from the RLI.
