Device can upscale medical video to HD quality via USB

January 5, 2015 — Ampronix announced a new addition to its video converter family – Scanmaxx Laplinx.

The Scanmaxx series provides a way to upgrade medical imaging without the replacement cost. Laplinx has been tailor-made for radiologists, and allows users to connect their laptops via USB to picture archive and communication system (PACS) displays in their home or office. Simply plug in a USB cable for instant access to external displays, network connection, audio, USB printers & scanners, as well as a keyboard and mouse.

In both widescreen and standard aspect ratio, video can be mirrored or extended from a computer to two additional monitors with resolutions up to 4MP. Output resolutions can also be downscaled to accommodate two 4MP images on a large screen display. Scanmaxx Laplinx is the only external USB unit to work with diagnostic displays and comes with dual DVI video adapters for medical applications.

  • Widescreen/Standard screen resolutions of 800 x 600 MP up to 2560 x 1600 MP
  • USB 2.0/3.0 video inputs
  • 2 Dual Link DVI-D, LAN/RJ-45 video outputs
