Nov. 5, 2014 — Fujifilm Medical Systems will highlight its women’s healthcare portfolio at the 2014 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Ill. The company will show enhancements to its Aspire Cristalle mammography system, released in July.

These include:

· Patient experience enhancements such as its patented Comfort Paddles,  designed to make  mammograms more comfortable. The paddle’s soft edges, flexible composition and 4-way pivot contours to the individual shape of the breast to more comfortably apply just the right compression for optimal tissue separation.

· Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) is an innovative detector pixel design, engineered to deliver higher acquisition efficiency for finer detail, higher DQE, higher MTF and lower dose than conventional square pixel arrays.

· The system’s image quality is further enhanced with image processing, iAEC (intelligent automated exposure control) coupled with ISC (image based spectrum analysis), together these analyze the breast for glandular tissue characteristics and detect implants to optimize dose and processing, and precisely tune contrast, to adapt for every breast type and to image implants
