Highlights include new low dose mammography system and wide range of digital radiography products to fit all needs of radiology professionals

August 12, 2014 — Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc. is highlighting its growing digital radiography (DR) and women’s healthcare portfolio at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) annual meeting held Aug. 11–13 at the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C.

Tomas Kuprys, M.D., from Loyola University Chicago will also provide an accredited presentation entitled “Orthopaedic Tomosynthesis as an Alternative Imaging Technology,” at the AHRA 2014 annual meeting. The presentation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 7:15-8:15 a.m. sponsored by Fujifilm.

"Digital Tomosynthesis is an emerging technology that can provide a cost effective approach to screenings and produce sharp, clear images while reducing radiation dose,” said Kuprys. “This session will enlighten the audience on the utilization of digital tomosynthesis in a variety of clinical applications, including orthopedics and how it could benefit your department."

Attendees will receive 1 AART Category A CE Credit and learn to:

  • Understand how digital tomosynthesis can fit into the radiology department.
  • Recognize the value of alternative imaging in today’s healthcare environment.
  • Appreciate the financial and dose benefit of digital tomosynthesis as an alternative to other modalities in your department.
