Viztek FIT-DR x-ray systems digital radiography (DR) RSNA 2013

January 20, 2014 — Viztek, a digital software and hardware diagnostic imaging provider, introduced the FIT-DR, a dual-detector digital x-ray system that providers quick throughput and high image quality. The product incorporates Viztek’s Leggera Wireless DR panel with a fixed panel to aid hospitals and clinics convert remaining analog imaging suites to digital.

The FIT-DR’s two cesium detectors accommodate x-ray exams without repositioning the patient. It also requires less frequent handling of DR panels, which may minimize risk of detector damage. The product can be installed new or as a retrofit.

Building from the FIT-KIT, the FIT-DR incorporates a 6.1 lb, ISO 4090 cassette size Viztek Leggera DR wireless panel. The panel includes storage of up to 50 images, two removable batteries, gyro capabilities and passive-trigger technology to detect x-ray sources and turn on automatically.

The Viztek FIT-DR aims to produce high quality images while requiring minimal intervention from technologists to decrease time delay during imaging processes.
