remote viewing system rsna 2013 claron nil universal viewer nilread

October 7, 2013 — Claron Technology will announce extended modality support for its Nil universal zero-footprint medical viewers at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2013 conference. The Nil viewer family includes NilShare, optimized for enterprise viewing, and NilRead, newly U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared for diagnostic use. Also new at RSNA is support for high-definition MPEG-4 videos as well as all common image formats including JPEG, TIFF and PNG. The viewers now support full cross-enterprise document sharing (XDS), integrating healthcare enterprise (IHE) profiles, including comprehensive health level 7 (HL7) clinical document architecture (CDA) documents. The Nil viewer family is optimized for cache-less integration with remote archives, including picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and vender neutral archives (VNA), streaming data without caching it. This allows Nil to provide the best user experience for the clinical workflow typical of universal viewers, where it is not possible to optimize data access based on a scheduled workflow.
