Konica Minolta Launches All-In-One DR Solution for Urgent Care Centers, Community Hospitals

June 5, 2013 — Konica Minolta Medical Imaging announced the release of a new digital radiography (DR) solution — ImagePilot Aero. This all-in-one digital imaging system combines the ease of use and simplified image acquisition of the Konica Minolta ImagePilot System with the workflow efficiencies, and high image quality of the lightweight, wireless Aero DR panel. With this new solution, private practices, imaging centers and community hospitals have access to the productivity and versatility of wireless DR.

“With the ImagePilot Aero, transitioning to DR has never been easier,” says Steve Eisner, senior marketing manager at Konica Minolta. “It is the perfect marriage of two Konica Minolta innovations that can help clinicians raise their level of productivity. Aero DR provides superlative image quality and combined with the ImagePilot simplifies the user experience. Clinics and private practices can now benefit from the latest in DR technology quickly, easily and cost effectively.”

The technology behind the ImagePilot Aero translates into fast, efficient and reliable imaging. Image transfer occurs in a 13 second cycle for higher patient throughput.  The panel’s wireless versatility enhances clinical efficiency and productivity, as one panel can be used for all exams. The durable panel design enhances reliability and offers high-quality, high DQE imaging with greater dose efficiency.

Konica Minolta provides five years of total system coverage with its five-year total cost of ownership (TCO) plans to help customers manage ongoing costs of ownership. “These bundles include panel protection, parts, technical support, software upgrades and Informity cloud-based services to ensure system maintenance surprises are eliminated,” adds Eisner.
