Leverages M-Files in the cloud for quality assurance and regulatory submission management

April 17, 2013 — M-Files Inc. said Elekta is deploying M-Files in the cloud to more effectively manage quality documentation and related processes for several key aspects of its global business.

Elekta provides clinical solutions for care in oncology, neurosurgery, radiosurgery and radiotherapy for precision treatment of cancer and brain disorders. Elekta’s quality assurance team was tasked with implementing an enterprise content management system to support a number of teams and projects with the goal of unifying the workflow processes of multiple teams spread across the globe and operating within different business units.

Elekta operates within a heavily-regulated industry, and selected M-Files to enable the company to address documentation and process requirements related to its compliance and quality initiatives. In addition, Elekta's global teams are utilizing M-Files for the management of documentation and related workflows to automate and optimize review and approval processes, which will improve efficiencies while ensuring all personnel are working from the latest versions of all documents.

"Our evaluation team was impressed with the degree to which the unique metadata-driven approach lets us configure and adapt M-Files to meet our demanding requirements and specific business needs while maintaining compliance and control," said Karen Wagener, vice president of global quality assurance at Elekta.
