The Selenia Dimensions system is the first commercially available tool to deliver on the promise of breast tomosynthesis, an innovation poised to revolutionize how breast cancer is detected today. Approved for sale in the United States in February 2011, the tomosynthesis system directly addresses the primary limitations of conventional 2-D mammography — the superimposition of normal breast tissue.

Hologic Inc. showed the Selenia Dimensions system at AHRA 2012.
