October 20, 2011 — Mindray Medical International Limited announced it will showcase its newly enhanced hand-held M series ultrasound platforms at the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) conference held Oct. 14-18.

The M7 platform provides advanced imaging features including high temporal resolution and multiple-tissue harmonic imaging technologies to improve image quality for technically difficult patients. During the ASA conference, Mindray will launch the new needle visualization technology, iNeedle, which provides physicians with clear and precise needle detection during procedures. The iNeedle, in conjunction with iZoom, enables users to view patient anatomy more accurately from a distance while iTouch allows for optimized images with a single button. These features help physicians see target structures more clearly and easily for safe and effective anesthetic procedures.

The company will also introduce new transducers including the linear array L12-4s and L14-6Ns. The latter provide high frequency imaging for nerve and pain management as well as other applications.

In addition, the company will highlight its popular M5 ultrasound platform. Mindray has released enhancements, such as new transducers, image improvements and other applications, over the past several months.
