October 4, 2011 — peerVue will debut enhancements to its Qualitative Intelligence and Communications System (QICS) at RSNA 2011. QICS is the company’s novel Web-based platform that transforms existing healthcare data into qualitative intelligence used to improve workflows.

This year, peerVue introduces a comprehensive Auto-Prompt feature that proactively provides notification of events. It can send notification on anything from important exam interpretations to over-read discrepancy follow-up and patient high radiation dose alerts. This will instantly notify radiology staff about a wide range of high priority events and to present a path for efficient, effective follow-up.

After a study is opened in an integrated picture archiving and communication system (PACS) solution, QICS automatically runs it through its qualitative intelligence rules engine; it then generates an Auto-Prompt if any issues pre-programmed for user attention are discovered. The system can also be configured for inbound HL7 data that meet certain criteria such as specific exam status or referring provider.

Auto-Prompt analyzes information across entire departments and beyond, as desired, eliminating much of the manual processes traditionally required to prompt a user to take action on critical or everyday events.
