At HIMSS 2008, Agfa HealthCare will highlight its leading solutions in imaging informatics and healthcare IT for clinics, imaging centers, hospitals and regional healthcare enterprises. Solutions include the introduction of a new set of IMPAX suites, Clinical Information Systems (CIS), Reporting, Cardiovascular, Enterprise Scheduling and Advanced Clinical Applications.

Agfa HealthCare will display several healthcare IT suites designed to tightly integrate the relevant IMPAX modules for specific segments of the healthcare market. The IMPAX Enterprise Suite is for the large, often multi-site healthcare enterprises and its integrated healthcare delivery networks operated in multi-patient ID domains. The IMPAX Hospital Suite is for the small to mid-size hospital requiring integrated multiple specialties. The IMPAX Radiology Suite is a modular package catering to the specific needs of a busy radiology department and focusing mainly on the clinical workflow within radiology.

Agfa HealthCare will also demonstrate its ORBIS CIS. ORBIS Live is the heart of the entire process-controlled, comprehensive and standardized ORBIS application architecture. It reportedly offers hospitals a broad platform for the industry-specific process structure of institutions and is the foundation for the electronic medical record. It encompasses administrative processes including admission/transfer/discharge, order entry, results reporting, document management and general and administrative admissions.

ORBIS Care offers a clinician charting and documentation module to support the documentation requirements within the nursing departments.
