August 27, 2007 — CBaySystems and Services Inc., a leading global provider of transcription, BPO services and technology, and eScription Inc., a leader in computer aided medical transcription, announced their recent business alliance which will expand both companies service offerings in the medical transcription field.
EScription's enterprise-wide software is designed to streamline medical transcription and reduce costs. CBaySystems is dedicated to offering full-serviced transcription to hospitals, healthcare networks, and medical clinics.
"This win-win partnership will offer customers an end-to-end transcription solution including broader services and additional value," said Christopher Foley, president, CBaySystems and Services.
Both companies are working to improve the quality and speed of medical transcription, while saving hospitals and physician practices time and money. EScription has accomplished this through its proprietary speech recognition engine, EditScript. The program creates formatted draft documents from clinicians' dictations, which medical transcriptionists (MTs) subsequently review and edit, often doubling their productivity. CBay’s expertise is in the area of transcription services through management and execution of the medical transcriptionists' workflow.
"We are excited to be joining efforts with CBay. The combination of CBay's enormous transcription capacity and eScription technology will deliver significant value to our joint customers," said Ben Chigier, CEO of eScription.
CBaySystems provides full-service medical transcription services and technology to thousands of leading hospitals, healthcare networks, medical clinics, and physician practices. EScription computer aided medical transcription technology is currently being used organization-wide across numerous specialties and work types.
