October 4, 2007 — The Liberty Alliance eHealth Group will present a federated identity management in healthcare webcast on Oct. 11, 2007 at 9a.m. US PT to focus on the technology, business and policy aspects of federation in healthcare and feature a case study based on the Catalonia ePrescribing Project.
Health information exchange involving disparate networks enabling access to personal and public health information regardless of source or format will require scalable, affordable authentication and authorization individuals accessing these systems. According to the company, the adoption of health information technology with the development of decentralized, interoperable health information networks, is widely regarded as critical to enhancing the performance of health care systems locally and globally.
