November 15, 2007 - At RSNA 2007, The Broadwest Corp. will feature its Rollux D analog/digital motorized viewer, which provides an ergonomic system for interpreting digital images simultaneously with analog films.
This transitional tool combines both formats in a single plane to enhance workflow and accommodates any digital LCD monitors with up to 200 cases of prior film comparisons directly above, according to the company. It can be used initially as a film-only viewer with monitors added after going digital. The Rollux's auto-masking software memorizes the shutter position on each frame to minimize backlight to the monitors. The Viewer's lights automatically dim, the belt advances and the shutters mask to the new frame's film configuration with each case.
