January 11, 2008 - Hyland Software this week signed an agreement with the national healthcare alliance VHA Inc. for its OnBase document management software.

The agreement will provide discounted pricing to VHA’s 1,400 member hospitals and 21,000 nonacute healthcare organizations on document management solutions that aid in improving the quality of patient care while reducing cost and increasing efficiency at healthcare organizations.

The company said OnBase healthcare solutions enables organizations to run more efficiently by managing content and streamlining workflows across the enterprise with point solutions for medical records, health information management, revenue cycle management, and back office operations, while seamlessly integrating with core business applications in each of these key areas. VHA members will benefit from an enterprise class solution that also excels at meeting departmental business needs, giving providers the ability to expand their solution cost-effectively as their organization grows, whether they are small community hospitals or large Integrated Delivery Networks.

“We engaged in a national search to identify the best document management resources to bring to our member organizations and are pleased to have Hyland Software on board as a contracted vendor,” said Amy Anthony, vice president of purchased services at VHA. “With its unique ability to offer solutions that span both business and clinical departments, Hyland Software clearly stood out to us as a nationally recognized leader in enterprise document management.”
