February 4, 2008 - At HIMSS 2008, Fujitsu will display its mobile computing products for healthcare, including the 1.56-pound LifeBook U810 mini notebook, one of the world's smallest convertible notebooks with a 5.6-inch LED, back-lit, touchscreen display with wireless WAN.

The company said it will also showcase its environmentally-friendly products at HIMSS Feb. 25-28 in Orlando, FL. Protecting the environment is a key value for Fujitsu Computer Systems, company representatives said. It has developed Energy Star 4.0 compliant notebooks and registering 16 silver-rated LifeBook notebooks and Stylistic tablet PCs on the Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT list). At HIMSS it will also showcase a bio-plastic PC with a casing comprised of a polymer alloy made of corn. The company says manufacturing with corn cuts down CO2 emissions by 15 percent. The PCs are currently only available in Japan.
