May 9, 2008 - Siemens Medical Solutions was named winner of the 2008 VHA Service Excellence Award for Supplier of the Year.
VHA Inc. is a national healthcare provider alliance of more than 1,400 not-for-profit hospitals and 21,000 non-acute healthcare organizations.
Candidates for the award are recommended and selected based upon their sales interactions with VHA members, overall customer satisfaction and responsiveness to VHA staff and members, as well as contract administration compliance criteria.
Award winners were honored at a special banquet on May 4 during the 2008 VHA Leadership Conference in Philadelphia. More than 120 VHA member organizations were recognized with VHA Leadership Awards in the categories of Clinical Excellence, Community Benefit and Supply Chain Management.
To determine the finalists, VHA members were surveyed and requested to nominate suppliers that represented the highest standards in service, responsiveness and meeting customer needs. These nominated suppliers were then scored on four criteria: LOP/LOC’s completed within initial submission (if applicable), pricing file updates submitted every 30 days, best price (with any variances resolved within 60 days of request and day revenue outstanding/days sales outstanding (with no delinquency more than 60 days).
