February 21, 2011 – An integrated software suite that facilitates the sharing of diagnostic content will be showcased at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and IHE Interoperability Showcase. Merge iConnect, from Merge Healthcare, delivers true, interoperable image exchange and management by providing the capabilities to share both DICOM and Non-DICOM data within a single infrastructure.

Merge iConnect components recently passed conformance testing at the IHE North American Connectathon, held in Chicago in January. iConnect Access participated as an IHE compliant XDS Image Viewer, while Merge’s eMPI was rigorously tested as an IHE PIX Manager and IHE PDQ Supplier. Both products successfully completed all testing, including security requirements as defined by the IHE ATNA profile, and interoperability with over 30 other vendor products and solutions during the Connectathon.

“Image interoperability is critical to delivering true coordinated care,” said Jeff Surges, Merge CEO. “We’re certainly proud of thoroughly passing all IHE conformance testing for our iConnect platform. The iConnect solution makes completing the health record a reality for patients and providers”

In addition to the iConnect solution suite, Merge will demonstrate its clinical product lines, including solutions for radiology, CAD, cardiology, perioperative, laboratory and clinical trials.
