Mammography CAD Software Cleared in Europe


October 28, 2010 – A new type pf computer aided detection (CAD) software has received the CE Mark in Europe. Parascript, obtained CE Mark for its AccuDetect CAD software after recently receiving it for the AccuDetect Galileo CAD software.

The software performs a computerized second read of mammography images to help radiologists confirm that a suspicious area requires further investigation. AccuDetect integrates several complimentary algorithms and a sophisticated voting scheme to achieve high sensitivity and low false positive rates.
