September 29, 2010 — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, N.C., has installed a new dual-detector digital imaging system incorporating the Canon CXDI-40G and CXDI-50G digital receptors. The college is an open-door, comprehensive learning-centered institution of higher education serving the citizens of Rowan and Cabarrus counties. A member of the North Carolina Community College System, it offers affordable occupational and education programs leading to associate in applied science degrees, associate in arts degrees and associate in science degrees.

The sale and installation was facilitated by Blue Ridge X-ray Imaging, a dealer for Quantum Medical Imaging. The digital radiographic (DR) system installed includes Quantum’s Q-Rad-CXDI Series ceiling-mounted system with an overhead ceiling-mounted X-ray tube suspension, elevating four-way float radiographic table and wall stand.

The CXDI-40G digital receptor is mounted in the wall stand, while the second CXDI-50G digital receptor is used in the table. The system allows the CXDI-50G receptor to be removed for patients on gurneys or in wheelchairs. The DR console is fully integrated with the Quantum Q-Bus generator for maximum productivity.
