Meridian Teleradiology Opens Florida Offices, Keeps RamSoft

September 20, 2010 — Jonathan S. Dorn, M.D., decided to maintain his relationship with RamSoft and its distributor, now partner, Radical Radiology, when he recently opened Meridian Teleradiology in Merritt Island, Fla. With additional offices in Birmingham, Ala., Meridian Teleradiology provides preliminary and final interpretation services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all major modalities to a client-base across a large geographic area.

Meridian uses RamSoft’s PowerServer to collect clients' studies into a universal worklist, at which time reports are generated and automatically faxed or emailed to the ordering physician and facility, or they are made available via the Referring Physician Portal. In addition, a number of clients are provided with long-term archival of studies both on-site and off-site using RamSoft Gateway’s archive capabilities, as well as Meridian Teleradiology’s redundant PowerServers.

Radical Radiology, Meridian’s technology backbone, manages the fully redundant LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including web hosting, image management and report distribution services, with an uptime percentage of 99.9 percent. This ensures the RamSoft PowerServer efficiently and securely routes patient studies to an appropriate/qualified reading radiologist.

Ken Trotman, president of Radical Radiology, said, “Our partnership with both RamSoft and Meridian Teleradiology has vastly increased our capabilities to help other teleradiology clients in their endeavors.”
